LEGAL BID NOTICE FREEPORT BOROUGH Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, is requesting proposals for the collection and disposal of solid waste. Specifications, including bid instructions and bond requirements, may be obtained from Tina Ferringer, Borough Manager, during the hours of 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Freeport Borough Building, 414 Market Street, Freeport, Pennsylvania, 16229, (724) 295-2251 (Freeport Borough Building). Documents must be picked up at the Freeport Borough Building. No documents will be mailed or faxed to any bidder. All envelopes containing bid proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked Sealed Bid for Solid Waste Collection. Sealed bids must be received no later than 3:00 P.M. on November 2, 2026, at the Freeport Borough Building. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at a meeting of the Freeport Borough Council Meeting to be held at 414 Market Street, Freeport, Pennsylvania, 16229, at 6:00 P.M. on November 2, 2026. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the Contract in a sum equal the total Year One (1) value of the Contract, which said bond will be renewed for each following year of the Contract.
